1Can I book a last-minute tour or activity for today or tomorrow?
Please contact us by phone to check on last-minute availability.
We’ll do our best to accommodate you!
Tel. +39 339 205 2595 or +39 338 675 3066.
2What if I don’t see the tour I want?
We are happy to create a custom tour for you.
To get started, please refer to our Create Your Tour section, or give us a call.
3Can your tours be customized?
As all of our tours and activities are private, they can be personalized to meet your specific interests and needs. Have a look at the programs we offer as a starting point, then feel free to contact us with your specific requests by email or phone.
4I’ve seen less expensive tours elsewhere online. What makes your tours special?
All of our tours and activities are private and led by qualified experts in their field.
Our wine excursions are led by accredited Italian sommeliers. Our food visits and cooking lessons are led by master cheese tasters and local chefs.
Our city walks are led by knowledgeable and friendly local guides. You won’t find yourself placed on a shared tour with just a driver acting as informal “guide”.
We also take great pride in providing the best customer service possible, including helping you choose or create the perfect tour for your group.
5What type of wineries are included on your wine excursions?
We typically visit small independent wineries that have been making quality wines for generations.
By selecting small to medium producers, you have the opportunity to meet the winemakers personally, and learn about the history behind their vineyard.
6Can we request that a specific winery be included on our tour?
Yes, we can usually arrange to visit a particular winery that you have in mind.
Please keep in mind, however, that this may not always be feasible due to tasting room availability or location.
7Is it possible to buy wine at the wineries we visit? Do the wineries accept credit cards?
You can buy wine at all of the wineries we visit.
Most of the wineries accept credit cards (be sure to notify your credit card company when travelling abroad as they sometimes block cards when charges are made from other countries).
8Can I purchase wine and ship it home?
Yes, we can facilitate shipping of wine that you purchase to many countries (there are a few exceptions) either directly from the winery itself or through a separate shipping provider.
Contact us if you would like more details.
9Will we be able to purchase wines from the wineries that we visited on our tour directly in the US/UK/Canada?
Only a handful of the wineries that we visit are present on the international market.
Most of the wineries we choose to visit are relatively small, boutique producers who make outstanding wine in moderate quantities.
Some of these producers export, but the lion’s share of their wine is remains in Italy.
We can help with purchasing wine and shipping it from the producers you visit.

16What happens if I need to cancel my trip?

17Where are the pick-up and drop-off locations?

Excursions departing from Venice meet at Venice Tronchetto, easily reached by public or private water transportation in Venice.

City tours meet in convenient central locations. Your voucher will provide you with detailed meeting point instructions.
19Can you organize pick-up from one city and drop-off in a different city?
Yes, you can take advantage of flexible pick-up and drop-off points to have your tour double as a transfer from one city to the next.
We can usually do this at no added expense, though this depends on your specific requests.
For example, we can pick you up at Venice Tronchetto for the Amarone Experience tour in the Valpolicella (with your luggage).
At the end of your tour we can drop you off at your hotel in Verona.
20Can you pick us up from the Venice airport on our tour day?
We can sometimes arrange to pick you up directly from the airport, depending on your arrival time and your choice of tour.

Yes, we can organize transfers to/from Venice, Treviso and Verona airport.
Contact us with your specific requests by email or phone.
22What is the best way to travel from Venice to Verona or Padova for my City Walk?
We strongly suggest travelling between these cities by train.
There are frequent regional or high speed trains connecting Venice, Padova and Verona.
The meeting points for our City Walks are easy to reach from the respective train stations, and we provide detailed instructions.
23What vehicles do you use for the excursions?
Transportation is by comfortable air-conditioned passenger van, such as a Fiat Scudo, which seats 8 passengers plus the driver.
We also use a minivan, such as a Peugot Partner TP, which seats 4 passengers plus the driver, to better navigate the roads in some areas of hilly countryside.
We can accommodate groups of more than 8 people with multiple vehicles or a small bus.
24Can you accommodate the schedules of cruise passengers?
As our tours and activities are private, we can make sure the program fits your schedule.
We always allow ample time to get you back to your ship.
See our cruise section for recommended tours or contact us to set up a custom excursion!
25Where can you meet cruise ships?
Venice is the most frequent port-of-call for our clients.
Come a day or two before your cruise departs Venice, or stay on for a few days after you disembark.

We also can meet your cruise ship in Trieste, an ideal starting point to visit the wine area of the Collio and the Colli Orientali del Friuli.
26Do you offer any tours for single travelers?
Our tours and activities are set up for groups from 1 to 8 people.

35What should I bring with me on a city walk?
Make sure to wear comfortable walking shoes as we will do lots of walking and standing. As we may visit churches during the walk, women should have covered shoulders and skirts/dresses that cover your knees (a pareo or large scarf can be very useful to cover shoulders and legs).
Please avoid shorts.

Our walks take place rain or shine, so feel free to bring an umbrella in case of inclement weather.
36What should I bring with me on a wine tour?
Make sure to wear comfortable shoes.
Keep in mind that often the cellars are colder inside than outdoor temperatures.
We recommend bringing a light jacket or similar even when the weather is mild.
